PET White Masterbatch

Composition, Properties, and Benefits
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a common polyester plastic made by combining ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid into long chains. Its repeating unit (–O–CH₂–CH₂–O–CO–C₆H₄–CO–) has the chemical formula (C₁₀H₈O₄)ₙ.PET is a strong, stiff polymer with excellent chemical resistance and very low moisture absorption. It melts above 250 °C, which allows PET bottles and films to be heat-formed and filled. In practice, PET is widely used for clear bottles, packaging films, and polyester fibers ; about 30% of all PET goes into beverage bottles . These properties make PET ideal for packaging, but sometimes a white, opaque finish is desired instead of a clear one.

Major Applications of PET
PET is extremely versatile and is used in countless products. Key applications include:
- Bottles and Containers
- Films and Sheets
- Fibers and Textiles
- Thermoformed Products
Benefits for PET Films and Bottles
Using a high-quality PET white masterbatch brings several clear advantages for PET films and bottles:
- Enhanced Whiteness and Opacity:
- Brighter Appearance:
- Uniform Color and Quality
- Improved Processing Efficiency)
Product Grades (60% and 70% TiO₂)
To meet different application needs, we offer two PET white masterbatch grades with high TiO₂ concentrations. One grade contains 60% TiO₂, and the other contains 70% TiO₂. Both are very high loads The 70% grade provides the ultimate opacity and brightest white appearance (ideal for premium films or bottles), while the 60% grade still delivers strong whiteness and opacity with slightly lower pigment use (useful for cost-sensitive high-volume products). In practice, these two grades allow customers to balance appearance and material cost while using a consistent PET-based white concentrate in their processing line.
